The New Akwa Ibom Is Starting From Mbo – Gov. Udom

“I’m glad to see the people of Mbo in peace, unity and in one accord. Glory be to God.”

I’m happy today for this crowd. It can go for a Presidential Campaign. I salute Mbo people because they are my people.

The only party and government that talks of inclusion in Akwa Ibom as a total approach is the PDP and my government.

I came to tell you all today that having kept our promise and social contract, having laid the foundation of development, we are now on a completion agenda. Let’s keep partnering like we did in three and a half years.

This is our second missionary journey, where at the end, we will say like Paul the Apostle, ” we have fought a good fight”.

The number of tank farms we have in Mbo is not in any other local government. We have attracted the downstream sector to Mbo, right now, we are talking to them to bring in aviation kerosene.

When that is done, all the Local Government Chairman needs to do is to give the youths a tanker farm which will create a whole lot of economic value.

That alone will spring up more facilities and development in Mbo because people will be loading from Mbo.

We are also doing a coastal road that will pass through our new industrial city with the new sea port.

We have our bidders on ground, and once the Federal Government gives us the licence, every other thing will be on autopilot.

The new Akwa Ibom is starting from Mbo and we need to partner to achieve that dream.

The first time the deep sea port got into the world development map was in my regime.

Etebia-inwang road was poorly designed, we have redesigned it and we are working on awarding it, mark my words that at the end of this year, I’d be driving on that bridge to places in Mbo.

Within seven months, we did the Ibaka road. Everything we have promised, we are on the path of execution.
The projects we have done has shown to you that we don’t lie.

The next economic horse power will be from Mbo to the golf of Guninea.
The youths have seen that the problems they used to have on the shore line has reduced greatly. The youths must be able to carry-on with their economic lifestyle and that is what we want ” – Gov. Udom Emmanuel
